My short-term Quest

I am now on a short-term Quest to accomplish three different missions.

Mission# 1....To find a real full-time 40hr job with good pay, benefits, etc. here in Lexington at UK, Fayette County Government Center, etc. After working at Kroger for 11 years as a cashier making $9.50hr ( I am soon to be working in the Photo Center in a couple of weeks after going through a training process). I am at that point where it is time to get into something real and more challenging. Something along the lines of Data Entry/office assistant/entry level position.

Mission# 2...To finally settle down and find the future Mrs. Shultz (black or white). I have no problem with the age thing, If she is younger than me (6 yrs younger than me that is fine). Either a senior in college or in the process of getting her masters degree that is cool. All that maters is that we have that connection and go from there. I am even willing to go on a blind date. (NOD, NOD, NOD!!!!!!!!!!) I mean its about time here, lets get this going...I mean can I get a NOD, NOD, NOD!!!!!!!!!! from any blogger out there....I have been playing the single/eligible bachelor guy long enough its time to step it up (NOD, NOD, NOD)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mission # 3....To save up and get my own crib....I have been living with my parents for so long, I am kind of spoiled from it...Reason # 1, I am the youngest child in the family, so it would be hard for me and hard for my parents to finally let me go and become independent...With my older brother it was different, he became independent real fast (he is the more talkative, more outgoing, and less shy around girls.) Reason # 2, With me to get out on my own, it would take me awhile to get used to, I guess one of the things I did regret was that I didn't allow myself to get a taste of knowing what its like being on my own during my first 2 years at UK. ( I know I can't go back and change the time.) That would have gave me a head start on independence and becomming a responsible adult. After looking back on that, I finally realize that I am now ready to start looking for a place to hang my hat. (UK hat and The Price Is Right hat...NOD, NOD, NOD!!!)

With alot of praying, all missions will be accomplished ASAP.

P.S. Caution, This blog will self-destruct in 3 NODs.

LLLLLLLLLLLET'S GET READY TO COME ON DOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWN!It's the long anticipated start of PRICE$SEASON 35 (NOD, NOD,NOD.)

...and not only is it the 35th year of Price as we know it, both Bob Barker and the show are approaching major milestones - the 50th Anniversaries of Price's first episode(just after Thanksgiving) and Barker's TV debut (New Year's Eve). (NOD, NOD, NOD.)

One year ago over $200,000 in loot went out the door on opening day, the largest single-day haul ever. Can that total be surpassed, and will the season average get back on the happy side of par after falling short the last two years? (NOD,NOD,NOD.)

Well, what is everyone waiting for? The house is crawling with reporters, models, webmasters, and average citizens. It's so packed the fire marshal might close it down any minute. So, let's get this party started before they do.

Paying off a parking ticket.

Wednesday I went down to UK campus to pay off a parking ticket I got 2 weeks ago for parking at the dorms without a parking permit. (I know, Bryce warned me when I told him where I parked my car while I was visiting him and T. Wehrle that day). After I arrived at the Parking Office on Euclid, I parked my car at the Alumni building across the street. There were three spaces with parking meters, at the first meter I started to put a quarter in it and realized that there was two quarters stuck in there, so I had to move my car to the next parking meter, I tried putting a quarter into that one and that meter had two quarters stuck in that one too. ( I was getting frustrated at that point that a cuss word slipped out of my mouth...Does any body know how to put coins in the meter properly...one coin at a time.) Anyway, I went to the third and last parking meter (Third time's the charm) and yes that meter took my two quarters. I started to head over to the parking office and when I got there, I saw a note on the door telling students that their offices moved to their new location. (Yes they had maps to get to the new location) I was getting angry at that point. I got into my car and headed over to the newly located UK parking office. The directions said "take a right on Limestone", so I took a right on Limestone, I got half way down the road and realized that I took the wrong right on Limestone, so I had to backtrack and take a different route, so I can turn on to Virginia Ave and hit Press Ave (thats where the UK Parking office is located now). When I arrived at the Parking office I parked at one of the parking meters went inside and there was a long line inside (At that point I was angry and frustrated) I asked someone where do I go to pay off a parking ticket, and the girl waiting in line pointed to a window where students and staff go to pay off a parking ticket. I went to the window payed off the ticket and headed over to Gold's Gym. After going through all that I took out all my anger and frustration on lifting weights ( Instead of punching someone, I pumped iron, my arms and biceps felt tight). That was the kind of day I had trying to paying off a parking ticket. (By the way the parking ticket was $25.00, and I also realized that the envelope with the ticket had the parking office new address on the back of it...I didn't know that at the time. I assumed that the parking office was still at the same building). ( I know what Bryce is going to say after he reads this "Dameon Your killing me"). NOD, NOD, NOD. Anyway, it wasn't a total loss, something good did come out of this situation...I recently had an interview for a job at UK and I should be getting another interview for another job at UK soon. Things are starting to work out. NOD, NOD, NOD.
